Summary
As you work with farmers and ranchers on their succession plans, you make discoveries about their thoughts and fears for getting that succession plan in place. As Allan winds down his Extension career, he will share his top five discoveries. If you ask ag professionals about producer estate/succession plans, they will report that not even half have either an up-to-date plan, or even have a succession plan at all. Why not? The presentation will discuss those reasons and give other discoveries from this process. As you can imagine, family communication is a huge issue and the issues surrounding that will be explored. How to effectively include the stubborn individuals will be included.
