Using VIMEO Videos to Enhance Crop Price Risk Management Education

Summary
The Iowa Commodity Challenge web site was expanded for the 2015-16 marketing year with 12 new VIMEO videos. Topics include basic explanations and examples of the use of corn and soybean futures, options, grain contracts, basis, carry, cost of ownership as well as marketing strategies, tools and planning.
These web site efforts are currently in their 6th year and serve as a model outreach partnership with Iowa State University Extension and the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation. Annually more than 15,000 participants benefit from meetings, workshops, seminars, conferences and webinars with educational content complimented by the web site: https://www.extension.iastate.edu/agdm/info/icc.html
This web site also serves as the portal for participation in either Old Crop or New Crop Iowa Commodity Challenge online market simulation games launched annually.
