This poster presentation highlights a recent study that examined the participation of African American farmers in USDA programs. Using semi-structured interviews, the researcher focuses on the factors that contribute to the involvement of African American farmers in USDA programs. The findings of the qualitative study highlight important factors that contribute to the success of African American farmers when they participate in USDA programs.
