Summary
The Where’s the Beef? Video Series was developed to enhance producer knowledge and decision-making related to direct-to-consumer beef sales through peer-based education. Building on feedback from prior SRMEC-funded projects, the series captures producer experiences, regulatory insights, and practical lessons through eight video interviews and a recorded panel. Participants reported using the videos to support family operations, navigate regulatory requirements, and evaluate business transitions. Featuring diverse producers, business models, and production systems, the series addresses common barriers faced by beginning and transitioning producers. During the grant period, the videos received nearly 40,000 views, demonstrating strong demand and educational impact.
