Summary

Cool Season Grass Quality – The two main nutritive values that grass provides are protein and energy for the grazing animal. The various varieties of cool season grasses were explored, with discussion as to growth, plant structure and digestibility. Research on different varieties (yield as well as animal performance) was presented with discussion on the benefits and challenges of the different forages.
