Summary
Pasture, Rangeland, Forage (PRF) insurance with the Rainfall Index (RI) provision will be available in South Dakota for the 2013 crop year. PRF has been available as a pilot program in the state since the 2007 crop year using a vegetation index to assess coverage and losses. However, the vegetation product was not widely adopted and the provision will no longer be offered in South Dakota.
