Summary
5 Year - Strategic Plan (2026-2031) for Building Ranching Resilience – A Path to Risk Management and Revenue Enhancement. During the spring of 2026 conducted 20 semi-structured interviews with ranchers in the region and strategic business affiliates (e.g. agricultural organization staff, lawyer, banker, county and federal agency staff) to identify key business risk management educational and training topics needed by ranchers. This strategic plan also reflects information and insights gathered through professional conferences, workshop attendee feedback, and a review of relevant research and emerging issues affecting ranching operations.
