Summary

Nevada is designated as severe to exceptional drought in the US Drought Monitor, which results in certain federal programs being available for Nevada agricultural producers. This workshop will provide discussion and expertise on United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) federal assistance programs available to crop and livestock producers in Nevada. Workshop will focus on Natural Resources Conservation Programs (NRCS) for water conservation and emergency programs; Farm Service Agency (FSA) for crop insurance, emergency loans and livestock feed programs; and Risk Management Agency (RMA) for crop and livestock insurance production and cost insurance options for the 2017 agricultural year.
