Launching the Livestock Module and an Ag Budget Calculator (ABC) Program Update

Summary

Projecting enterprise cost of production can assist in making important management decisions. The Agricultural Budget Calculator (ABC) program has continued in development over the last several years. With cattle production prevalent in Nebraska it’s exciting to launch the newest feature of the program. With both crop and livestock modules as part of the ABC program, we can get a better handle on estimated cost of production and profitability for a diversified operation. During this session we’ll walk through the program features and provide a brief demonstration of the livestock module.
Session topics will include:
• ABC program features overview.
• Steps to creating livestock enterprise budgets.
• Enterprise reports include cash costs, economics costs, and estimated returns per enterprise.
• Using the analysis features relating to enterprise budgets created in ABC.
