Conference Name Preferences for Virtual and Face-to-Face Programs among Agribusiness Professionals

David Ripplinger and Bryon Parman

Summary

The Covid-19 outbreak of 2020 led to a rapid increase in the number of virtual programs delivered by Extension, including some that had long been delivered face-to-face. The situation created a unique natural experiment and opportunity to ask regular audiences about their preferences between virtual and face-to-face programs, having participated in both. Participants from three NDSU Extension Agribusiness programs were surveyed to collect data to guide future program design. Attendees will learn about what we did, how we did it, and what we learned so that they can conduct their own surveys or incorporate our findings into their program planning.
