Understanding Legal Issues in Maryland and How to Respond

Summary
Maryland agricultural producers often face regulatory issues unseen by farmers in other states, with the exception of California. Providing legal risk management outreach to the state's producers can be complicated when a variety of legal issues can be impacting their operations on a daily basis. This presentation will focus on a program evaluation conducted over the winter of 2016 and 2017 to get a sense of the legal issues impacting Maryland producers and how existing University of Maryland resources have been in addressing those legal issues.
